Implant Retained Bridges
An Implant-Retained Bridge is a permanent tooth replacement option by placing two or more titanium implants in the jawbone and then attaching a ceramic bridge with multiple teeth on top. The number of implants used to anchor the bridge varies depending on the patient’s circumstances, but two implants are commonly used to hold three teeth: two teeth on either end bridged by another tooth in the middle.
A fixed implant-retained bridge is an efficient and cost-effective alternative to replacing each lost tooth with its own implant and crown.
On the day of surgery, the Dentist will place multiple implants into the jawbone and bury them under the gum. The ceramic bridge consisting of multiple teeth will be inserted on top of the implants at least 3 months after the day of surgery to allow time for the implants to integrate into the bone. If you are eligible for this treatment option and whether it is the right treatment option for you will be determined during the consultation with the dentist.
